The snowfall is very common in winters. In winters the temperature falls off and heavy woolens are worn. The summers are mild and the weather is best in spring and autumn season. The city of Dharamshala is well connected. The nearest airport is at Ghaggal, 15km from the city. By using the rail route through Pathankot , the city can be easily reached. A regular array of buses moves daily from major cities like Chandigarh, Delhi and Shimla. The Himachal Road Transport Corporation operates both normal and luxury buses.
